Michael Anthropelos is an Associate Professor of Mathematical Finance in the Department of Banking and Financial Management at the University of Piraeus. His research has been published in highly esteemed journals such as the Journal of Economic Theory and the Review of Finance, as well as leading academic journals in the field of Mathematical Finance, including Finance and Stochastics, Mathematical Finance, and the Annals of Applied Probability. He has been invited to present his research at numerous seminars and conferences. Additionally, he serves as the chairman of the investment committee for five occupational pension funds in Greece and has delivered executive training courses on asset liability management and liability-driven investment strategies.
Professor Anthropelos holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.A. in Mathematical Finance from Columbia University, and a Ptychion in Statistics and Actuarial Science from the University of Piraeus, where he graduated first in his class.
