NanoPhos Appoints Miltiades Babilis as General Manager

NanoPhos SA, the leader in intelligent energy-saving, high performance and antibacterial Specialty Coatings announces that Mr Miltiades Babilis has been appointed as the firm’s General Manager and joins its Board of Directors. The new appointment is the beginning of an exciting, new chapter for NanoPhos.
Mr Babilis brings more than 25 years’ of experience with solid managerial background. Prior to NanoPhos, Mr Babilis served as Director of Oil Product Sales & Trading at Hellenic Petroleum SA group, and before that he was the General Manager of Avinoil SA (Motor Oil Hellas Group). Mr Babilis has also served as Global General Manager of Specialty Greases & Food Lubricants of Royal Dutch Shell. Mr Babilis holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), researched at Imperial College London and trained in executive leadership at IMD Switzerland.
Mr Babilis will be based at the NanoPhos’s (Lavrio) Headquarters and will lead the delivery of the firm’s ambitious organic growth plans, leveraging his strategic insights and execution capabilities. Dr Ioannis Arampatzis, will focus on the firm’s global scale up of its Innovation Strategy and spearhead the firm’s Intellectual Property portfolio programme and proprietary "NanoPhos Labs" technologies.

NanoPhos’ investors, Brookstreet Equity Partners of London, worked closely with Dr Arabatzis, Brookstreet’s EIRs and an international executive search firm to complete this important recruitment assignment and structural enhancement to NanoPhos.
