Swagat Mohanty, an MBA candidate at HEC Paris graduating in December 2024, is set to join Brookstreet’s in January 2025. With a specialization in Strategy and certifications in Private Equity and Infrastructure from Bain & Company and Antin Infrastructure Partners, Swagat has built a strong foundation in finance and strategy.
He has worked with leading organizations such as Arthur D. Little, All In Capital, Bright Ventures, JP Morgan Chase, and Fidelity Investments, where he gained extensive experience in evaluating investment opportunities, leading strategic initiatives, and delivering measurable financial results. Swagat has assessed over 50 investment proposals, driven due diligence processes, and executed high-performing deals. At Arthur D. Little, he led the valuation module for a due diligence project in the $34 billion electric two-wheeler industry. At JP Morgan Chase, he implemented strategies that enhanced client retention, improved investor engagement, and boosted sales. During his time at Fidelity Investments, Swagat introduced AI-enabled solutions that increased product adoption and contributed to significant revenue growth. At All In Capital, he evaluated startups across multiple sectors, built strategic partnerships, and delivered strong investment outcomes.
Swagat’s entrepreneurial ventures highlight his passion for innovation. He co-founded Failtell, a mental health and career planning platform serving over 20,000 users across eight countries, and founded FoodaholicofIndia, a food promotion brand with 21,000 followers. He also hosts The Failosophical Guy, a motivational podcast with listeners in over 12 countries.
As a leader, Swagat has served as Co-President of the Finance Club and Vice-President of the MBA Consulting Club at HEC Paris. He holds an honours degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela, where he founded the AIChE Student Chapter. Fluent in English and Hindi and currently learning French, Swagat is skilled in financial modelling, due diligence, Python, and AWS. Outside of work, he enjoys travelling, writing novels, and composing poetry.
